Toutes mes condoléances à la communauté musulmane, à tous les Québécois et à toutes les personnes de bonne volonté.
It is so sad. Quebec City has been , for a very long time, one of the safest cities in all North America (murder is extremely rare - perhaps just one or two a year for a city of 800,000). I know that the general stats may matter little when we turn to the specifics of something so horrible, but to me they underscore even more the shock felt throughout that beautiful city to the north, and the hate and barbarism that drove such horrendous acts. I am heartened by the response - what we would expect - from throughout Quebec and Canada telling the Islamic community of Quebec City that it is not alone. The vast majority of all people (in Quebec, in Charleston, wherever) really are of good will; and, yes, it is sadly these acts of hate which drive this point home.

Can we please take a moment of silence ýin honour of the victims of the Quebec terror attack . 6 killed, many injured. Terrorist is allegedly a local kid who has expressed hate for Moslems. They were slaughtered in their place of worship. Words, bigotry hatred lead to outrageous acts. Can't we all be more civil and thoughtful. Aren't we supposed to act on real facts and reason?
