As unbelievable as it may sound, our group only saw 1 Killdeer this morning at Berlin Lake from the German Church boat launch. Quite a difference from this past week.
On a brighter note, we found a nice pocket of migrant warblers (8 species) and vireos (4 species) along the woods around the parking lot. We added 3 more species of Warblers at nearby Deer Creek Reservoir, along with Veery and Swainson’s Thrush.
Pretty good birding in the rain.
Jon Cefus along with Kent Miller, Bennie Saylor, and Cynthia Norris.
