COVERAGE:  Started at the South Parking lot, walked around the lake in a counterclockwise fashion - about 2 miles

Wood Duck (Aix sponsa)  12

Blue-winged Teal (Spatula discors)  2

Hooded Merganser (Lophodytes cucullatus)  1     F

Pied-billed Grebe (Podilymbus podiceps)  2

Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura)  10

Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)  3

Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)  8     4 seen at once circling higher and higher and heading north.  Appeared that ospreys were on the move this morning and probably following the adjacent Little Miami River corridor north

Yellow-rumped Warbler (Setophaga coronata)  120     A big day for Yellow-rumped Warblers!  They were in groups of 10 - 15 seen all around the lake, all working their way north.  Singing, chasing each other around, and furiously feeding.  Lots of beautiful Myrtle males and a lot of immatures and females too.  By far the most we've seen in one morning at this location.  Our estimate of 120 is very conservative.  There easily could have been twice this many.
