Englewood MetroPark, Montgomery, Ohio, US Aug 16, 2020 8:45 AM - 11:00 AM
Protocol: Traveling
0.5 mile(s)
Checklist Comments: TIME: 0845 - 1100
CONDITIONS: T 69 - 76F, cloudy with fog becoming mostly cloudy; wind S 7 becoming W 10 mph
COVERAGE: Overlook on the east side of the main lake, north end and drive out of the MetroPark
MAMMALS: NONE
REPTILES/AMPHIBIANS: NONE
MISCELLANEOUS: The lake is now 80% dried up. With the inch of rain earlier last week, the NE part of the main "lower" lake had water in it due to runoff from the park, but the main part of the lake is drying up fast. Unless there is significant rainfall this week (looks doubtful in this week's forecast) we would expect the lake will be nearly dry within a week or two.
