Pretty quiet in the steamy heat. Had a green heron by one of the ponds that flew into a tree for some preening. Heard at least two Red-headed WPs but could not spot them through the thick leaves. I heard a few warblers: yellow, Hooded, Louisiana Waterthrush and Chat. Did see a common yellowthroat.
Eastern peewees were calling as well as a couple of Wood Thrushes, E Bluebirds. RT Hummingbird. Indigo Buntings.
I then went over to the land lab. No Sedge Wrens. I did have a pair of Baltimore Orioles carrying food. Saw a hen Wood Duckāher ducklings likely hidden in the reeds. Willow Flycatchers. N Mockingbird. Killdeer.
Had a small Coopers Hawk fly thru my backyard yesterday. Have 2-3 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks at my feeders. A few Chimney Swifts especially in the evenings.
