That's where Mary and I helped out! Fun! Meeting everyone and seeing
the spots. Of course I froze..... the coldest day this week.....
We personally had 53 species. That will go way up. Brian was covering
the North Woods, etc. It will go way up! yea!
Sandhill Cranes! Yea! 242 for the SW Ohio big year. I am still hoping
for several more. I kept looking up for flying birds. No scoter..... No
Golden Eagle.....
My highlights - maybe not count highlights - this is my first time on the count.
Lodge Pond - always has a good diversity! Besides the Sandhill Cranes -
1 female Pintail. Green winged Teal - our second visit. That place changes
every 30 minutes!
Red-shouldered Hawks - seemed like everywhere!
Shaker Trace - finally we got some passerines! YB Sapsucker, Fox Sparrow, etc.
I learned some new areas. Next spring, although I will be heavy into botany
by then.
low lights - no sun......
Good birding all!
