I was going to spend the day in Highland county, but something came
Up here, couldn't get out early and also I decided to try and relocate
The Western Tanager at Cowan lake. Clinton county. No success
With that! I had scattered migrants around wherever I went. Didn't
Think it was a good migration night. The radar was poor. Yet the
Bird cast look had heavy over this area. Maybe the radar was down.
I kept hearing about lots of warblers around! I had singles. Late start
Didnt help either.
Here are some highlights - Cowan state park
1 Acadian - Foy
2 Willows
1 Least
1 Blue headed Vireo
2 Chats
1 Blue winged
1 Cerulean
1 Parula
1 Yellow
1 palm
1 Yellow rumped
2 Yellow throated
1 Prairie
7 Scarlet Tanagers
1 Summer Tanager
No Western Tanager
Oldaker - Highland. Very quiet by now, I was there for butterflies and odes.
2 Prothonotary
1 Blackburnian
1 yellow rumped
