I am trying to get as much information about the importance of this date
to temperance history.  So far, I know that the following two events
happened:
1.  Congressional Temperance Society Organized after 1 year preparation
2.  The Mormons (Joseph Smith) announced a *revelation* about alcohol and
other health issues.
 
Does anyone know of other temperance related events that happened on this
date?
