At the Milwaukee conference, ALSB members were lead in a discussion by Peter
Shedd and Dan Herron on the development of an Alternative Dispute Resolution
(ADR) in Business Section. Based on that meeting, Tom Cavenagh, North Central
College, Illinois, and Lucille Ponte, Bentley College, Massachusetts have
drafted a set of proposed section objectivs, which are expected to be
presented to the executive Board for thier review, and hopefully approval
of this new section. Below you will find these proposed objectives, and
we encourage your comments on them. If you have not already spoken to Tom or
Lucille about your interest in such a section, please let us know if you
would like to add your name to the list of those interested in the creation
of an ADR in Business section. Thanks for your timely comments.
