Earlier this week I received a copy of "What Matters Most:
Teaching for America's Future," a report of the National Commission
on Teaching and America's Future, published last month. I hope that
some of you have also seen it. You are welcome to borrow my copy.

This is a powerful report, in harmony with the vision of our
committee. You can get more information about the Commission
and the Report on the World Wide Web:

Actually, Ohio looks pretty good in this report. It is among the
"top 10" states on indicators of attention to teaching quality, and
several Ohio programs are highlighted in the vignettes.
