The MGTDEV-L listserv -- as you've come to know it -- will be
closing down.  I have every confidence that one of you will open it
back up again --in some form or another -- but it won't be "housed"
at Miami U.
 
Due to a change in strategic direction, the Center for Management
Development is closing.  I am remaining on board as Director for a
few more months (at the outside), but we are doing no additional
programming.  Since -- given the right opportunity -- I could be gone
"tomorrow", you should be prepared for closure of the list.
 
We have 554 subscribers in 35 countries.  I'm proud of the
contribution that this list has made to our collective professional
development and to our continued networking.
 
Some of you may also visit my web sites -- in particular, the
university-based centers (about 90 listed) for management and
executive development site.  As far as I know, they will close also.
 At the moment I can't update the sites (I moved offices and my
computer was upgraded -- the web editor has to be reinstalled), but
will update as time permits.
 
Hopefully, somebody reading this message will consider providing the
future home for this listserv -- or it's next iteration.  It's been a
monitored list and does need some care and nurturing.
 
Meanwhile -- the list will continue.  Unless I get hit by a truck,
I'll let you know when it'll shut down.
 
And, yes, I am looking for a new professional opportunity --
probably affiliated with lifelong learning:  management and executive
development; the management of corporate universities; directing
training and professional development; university and college
relations; outreach; development.
