Lately, as some users have already noticed, our
523-0003 Oxford off-campus dial-in number
has begun to reach a busy state at peak periods.
 
In order to continue good service on this line,
additional capacity is being added.  24 new modems
are now on order, according to Joe Simpson, and
should be in service within three weeks.  An
additional 24 will be added as soon after that
as can be arranged.  This will bring the total
potential modems on 523-0003 to 192, although,
as always, a few may be out of service for testing
or repair.
