I rather recall that Nancy was really an excellent and effective
member of the Iowa athletic committee once upon a time, a time when
women's athletics was coming into its own at Iowa and needed the
support she lent. Is that not correct? Is there not an inner
Hawkeye lurking around Nancy's psyche?

Indeed, he is retiring because the athletic director announced he
would not be renewing his contract. As I said, a great energy boost
