Here are two helpful, informative web sites on the Kosovo
conflict you might want to share with your students:
http://www.foxnews.com/js_index.sml?content=/news/background/
kosovo/timeline/sml
Gives a 600-year history of the Kosovo struggle
http://www.igc.org/igc/conflictnet/
Gives breaking news, background, and reports on taking
action to bring peace
On the final project, I haven't heard from any other instructors,
although some of my students have just heard from students in
Lodz. Is there anything more any of you can do on this matter?
Please let me know your assessment of the partnership teams. The
students need to confirm who their partners are, what is the
division of labor among them, what is the timeline for sending
each other their sections for a critique and modification, and
who is responsible for posting the entire report on Forum. I
suggest you have your students create their own group listserv
to communicate with each other and that you have your name on
there as well to monitor progress or lack of same.
Regards to all,
Vince Parrillo
