Attention Religion Majors, Minors, and Professors:

Dr. Edwin Yamauchi is a Professor of History here at Miami University,
but has also served on the Board of Directors of the Near East
Archeological Society, as well as the Former President of the American
Scientific Affiliation, among many others.

He will be presenting two public lectures on:

"The Historical Reliability of the Gospels"
Monday, April 5th

"The Resurrection: Myth or Reality?"
Tuesday, April 6th

Each lecture is at 8:00 pm in 100 Laws Hall
Free admission to the public
Includes an open question and answer period
A reception will follow each lecture in 220 Laws Hall

Dr. Yamauchi is most well-known for publications on Gnosticism and Early
Christianity.  He has studied 22 ancient and living languages.  He has
published over 400 books, articles, reviews, and book chapters.  He has
participated in two Israeli-led excavations.  He has given over 150
lectures and papers before learned societies and universities.

This is a great opportunity to listen and dialogue with a top scholar in
Religious studies.
