Junk mail, or "spam," on the Internet is difficult
to intercept and stop. The only fool-proof method is to have the
listserv programmed to require approval from an editor before a message
is distributed. Given the small amount of spam that we receive, it
seems to me that clicking on the delete icon or trash can is simpler than
organizing a team of editors.
