All seniors are invited to attend the Senior Survival Series, an exciting new
event aimed helping graduating seniors make a smooth transition from Miami to
the "real world." The series is divided into three separate fun and informative
seminars. The following seminars will be in Room 113 Laws, starting at 7 p.m.:
**Tuesday, Feb. 20: "Dollars & Sense: Secrets to Financial Success" Scott
Beeken `72 will discuss and offer tips on how to survive financially on your
own. Topics include budgets, investments, savings, insurance, etc.

**Monday, Feb. 26: "Where the Slantwalk Ends: Finding a New Home After Miami"
Topics include how to find your first apartment, how to get involved in a new
community, and also how to stay involved with Miami. Basically, how to survive
moving from familiar and comfortable Oxford to a new city where you know no one
and/or don't know where to even catch a movie.

**Tuesday, March 6: "Backpack to Briefcase: Balancing Personal and Professional
Values" A panel discussion addressing why it's important to make sure you know
the similarities/differences between your personal and professional values, and
what to do if they don't compliment each other. The panel is made up of recent
Miami grads (`00, `98, `97) who have already made changes in their career or
education paths.
