Greetings all, Tonight's 7:00 meeting will be at the "WRA Lodge/Cabin," not Western. The detailed information (including directions) is as follows: I hope all is well with you. The new semester is upon us and I would like to initiate discussion and action on the Pan-Afrikan Partnership Program students proposed at last year's GSCA Pan-Afrikan meeting. I think it is best for us to start out on with those students who are most interested in participating (e.g., no lectures, just students interacting). Thus, I have chosen dates, activities, and locations for interested ASU, BSAA, and GSCA members to come together and get the ball rolling. The first of which is: September 15th (Wednesday)— Pan-Afrikan Partnership Program: Afrikan students (from the continent and all other places in the world: Haiti, Bermuda, Barbados, Jamaica, Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Central & South America, Europe, and Asia ... you get the picture) are invited to partner with Afrikan American students and enjoy food, games, music, and fun @ WRA Lodge/ Cabin! Time: From 7pm - 12am Directions to WRA Lodge/ Cabin: 1) From Shriver Center -- take Patterson Ave. past the Miami Inn to Bonham Rd. 2) Turn right and take Bonham until it dead-ends into Oxford/Milford Rd. 3) Turn left and take Oxford/Milford Rd. to WRA Cabin (a cabin sign will be on the left; follow driveway through the woods to the cabin). We are simply asking students to come out and get to know each other, exchange information with at least one person from another culture (i.e., Afrikans from outside America & Afrikans from American) that they will keep in touch with, and have fun doing it. However, please note that all GSCA members are encouraged to attend as this meeting is open to all GSCA members regardless of their ethnicity! Please let me know if you have any questions/ concerns about this small, but important move toward starting our Pan-Afrikan Partnership Program. I hope that we all take this opportunity to help each other because no one else is going to bring us together! Forward ever backwards never ... by any means necessary, Kamautu Ashanti (664-8128).
