RE: CD's and computer disks within collections

Thank you to everyone who responded to my query.  I received only one message off-list and here it is:

"You're lucky their not 5 1/4" or 8 1/2" floppies disks or magnetic tape
drives.  Usually if the medium is searchable, I pull the documents off
them, print them out on acid-free paper, and discard the disks -
because at some point, the medium will be obsolete and no machine will
be able to read the information."
