A & E is pleased to bring you this week’s educational
programming update:

New Series: Intervention, Sundays at 10PM/9c

Intervention
Sundays at 10 pm ET/PT

We have a new documentary series on A&E on Sundays at
10 pm ET, called Intervention. It is not for kids. But
it is very educational. It’s about real addicts
(gamblers, alcoholics, drug abusers, shopaholics, you
name it) and the role of their family members and
friends in getting them help through intervention. It
premiered last Sunday ( 3/6/05), attracting a large
audience. Viewers are calling in, asking how they can
get help for a loved one. We’ve built a small web site
about intervention to help answer some questions, and
will be providing more information soon. We would be
interested in hearing from any of you or your
colleagues who teach drug prevention in high schools.
Would this show be helpful to you when you’re talking
to senior high school students?

We want to learn what you think about it, from an
educator’s point of view. This series is very intense
and could be shocking to some people. Actual drug use
is shown on camera. But most of us know at least one
person who has had an addiction, or is still addicted.

It’s worth discussing. You can e-mail your thoughts
about the show to us at [log in to unmask] Visit
the Intervention web site at aetv.com/Intervention
