We are looking for a third panelist for a session accepted at the annual
Society of Southwest Archivists conference to be held in El Paso, Texas May
25-27, 2006.

The session is titled "Behind-the-Scenes: Performing arts collections in the
archives."

We already have speakers committed to present on theatre and film production
records, and we would like to round out the discussion with someone to talk
about either radio or television archives.

Session Description: This session examines the unique challenges associated
with processing and preserving performing arts collections. The presenters
will explore the special circumstances of managing film, theatre [and
television/radio] collections, including the challenges of collecting and
preserving production materials and providing access to materials for
research. Performing arts collections often present unique challenges due to
the types of materials, such as script books, props and multi-media formats,
industry-related terminology, and also from the ephemeral nature of the
materials.
