Good for you Lynne. That's exactly right. I'm not sure if the Krylon has
been tested with the PAT or not but most all of the overcoats will
yellow and crack over time. I'm not sure about off-gassing.

I may be out of my league here, but Krylon Acrylic Clear Coat is a
fixative for use over acrylic and water-based paints to prevent them
from running.   It seems to me that if you use it on photos, you are
violating one of the tenets of archiving:  Never do what you can not
undo.

I have a question regarding Krylon Acrylic Clear Coat.  A relative sent
me an article where the author recommends using this spray on photos to
protect them.  I'm including the article text here, although I have no
idea where this article might have appeared or who wrote it.  I'm
dubious, but admit I have never heard of the product before.  Hopefully
some knowledgeable conservator can clue me in on the use and/or
misuse...thank you.
