Hi Sonny,
I've been on the archivist listserve for about five years now, and
have enjoyed your artistic photographs immensely, but have never
properly thanked you. But today's tulips - well, you have outdone
yourself! So - I immediately found "Tu-li-tulip time" performed by the
Andrews Sisters in the Center's collections and am listening to it while
viewing your beautiful photo.

Other song titles on the same theme: It's tulip time in Holland: two
lips are calling me.
                                                        When you wore a
tulip.
                                                         Take a tip from
the tulip.
                                                        When you wore a
tulip and I wore a big red rose.
                                                        In a little
Dutch kindergarten down by the Zuider Zee;
                                                            Where the
windmills keep on turning back in tulip land.
                                                        In Tulip Time.
                                                        Tulip.
                                                        Tulip time.
..... and let's not forget that hit of 1838 by the
Hutchinson Family singers, "Horticultural wife" with the lines, "She's
my myrtle, my geranium, my sunflow'r my sweet marjoram, My honeysuckle,
my tulip, my violet, My hollyhock, my dahlia, my mignonette." With
lyrics by: "Celebrated English gardener after disappointment in love."

Okay, I'll get back to work now.......

Happy (almost) Spring Friday,
