2006 Summer Internship

 

Project:  Processing Internship

 

PURPOSE:  
To process approximately 40 cubic feet of Georgia Black Legislative
Caucus Records 

    for access by the public

 

DUTIES:  
Physical processing of the records
Physical and intellectual arrangement of the records
Preparing an inventory of the records
Works closely with archives staff and project supervisor and promptly
reports problems
      and concerns about the project

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:  
Coursework on archival theory and practice
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to take instruction and follow directions
Proficiency with MS Word and Access
Ability to lift 30 lbs

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
Knowledge & interest in modern Georgia history & politics
College seniors & graduate students preferred 

 

RATE & TIME: 
$9.00 per hour/20 hours per week for 10 weeks
Starting date may be negotiated
