The conference will be held April 19-21 at the Ohio Historical Center in Columbus.  Be sure to register by April 14, 2006 (next Friday!) to receive the pre-registration rate.

FEATURED SPEAKERS

Max Evans, Executive Director of NHPRC will deliver the plenary on Thursday, April 20. John Haas of the Ohio Historical Society will speak on his book, "To Battle for God and the Right: The Civil War Letterbooks of Emerson Opdycke" on Friday, April 21. 

 

EVENTS

Other events include: Tours of the Ohio Governor's Mansion, the State Library of Ohio and the Ohio Historical Society; a Silent Auction; Poster Sessions; and SOA's annual Business Meeting, Elections, and Merit Awards. 

 

SCRAPBOOK PRESERVATION WORKSHOP

A pre-conference workshop titled, "Scrapbook Preservation: Challenges and Opportunities for Archivists and Preservation Librarians" will be held on Wednesday, April 19. Registration is limited to 30 people. Register now, as seats are filling up fast!
