Quoting "Cook, Bradley D" <[log in to unmask]>: > There used to be a wax museum in Washington D.C. It was located at the > old, now razed, convention center from the late 1960's thru the > mid-1980's. Does anyone know what happened to it after that? Did it > simply close, or did it move somewhere else? It was a nightclub for some years after being a museum. I heard a few acts there--including Leon Redbone and Jonathan Dorn. Did an oral history interview and an article about Dorn not too long ago. The figures (at least the ones left) were not the best examples of the wax sculpting art.
