LIBRARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANT III (temporary through June 30, 2008)
The Research Libraries / Technical Services / Performing Arts Processing
Project

The Wilson Processing Project for Performing Arts Collections is a seven
year project created to process, catalog and provide access to many of the
archival and media collections housed at the New York Public Library for
the Performing Arts.

The Collections we process are derived from the divisions of the Library
for the Performing Arts and may range in scope from the organizational
records of a theatre company to the personal papers of a composer,
choreographer, or actor, to the professional records of a school or
journal. The types of materials to be processed may include sound
recordings, film, video, manuscripts, music scores, correspondence, works
of art, photographs, business and financial records, set and costume
designs. Once a collection is processed, a finding aid will be created in
paper form, for use in the reading room of the New York Public Library for
