Amylin Pharmaceuticals is looking for an intern to assist in the establishment of a Corporate Historical Archives. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an MLIS program at an accredited library school and have completed course work in archives and archives management. The internship would include the following responsibilities: identify key areas needed to collect, and create plan to locate and copy or transfer the records/ objects, accessioning, boxing and arranging physical objects, maintain an accessions register, cataloging physical items as well as electronic items, organization of oral histories, expanding photo library (to include directory of professional photographers used), imaging and uploading photos to archives intranet page, employee outreach, liaise with facilities supervisor in creation of archives display case, updates and improvements to archives intranet page. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and project management skills and will be able to work independently and be highly detail oriented
