Dear Colleagues,

I would recommend a visit to the Library of Congress website @ http://www.loc.gov/rr/print/cataloging.html where the following tools are available for FREE.

  1. Cataloging Tools Produced by the Prints and Photographs Division
  2. Cataloging & Digitizing Toolbox
  3. "How to" Tip Sheets

I am certain there are additional resources if one spent the time researching the subject.

The information will not tell you the make and model to purchase but it will provide you with sufficient information or possible too much information.

Either way you will be informed and at the least become aware of what NOT to purchase.

Regards, Laurie
