If you have windows xp and want to do windows media microsoft movie maker is free as an editor and outputs diff. formats.

Also you can use windows media encoder 9 to do this also and it is a free download from microsoft

we do not use quick time, there are others here that do and they need to address that.

Hi, has aynone had any experience with converting miniDV videos to Quicktime
or WMA files. I am wondering if there is a program out there that can
compress/convert the miniDV format into a web-friendly format without having
to buy a $3,000.00 editing program like Final Cut, Media 100, Avid, etc.
