yes I have one of the dvcam little decks that is dv and
dvcam. They are handy!

thanks for your suggestions. I think the first thing I need to do
is
expand my harddrive capacity, and install a firewire port. I'm
inputing of
a Sony DSR-11 digital videocassette recorder and not a
camera. This should
speed things up.
