May 15, the deadline for applying to take the Academy of Certified Archivists 2006 certification exam, is fast approaching.  This year’s exam will be given on August 2.  In addition to Washington, D.C., ten other sites are under consideration (Seattle, Indianapolis, Dallas, Denver, New York City, Atlanta, Detroit, Syracuse, and Lubbock, TX).  For information about the application and these or other possible exam sites, consult the Academy of Certified Archivists website: www.certifiedarchivists.org, or contact the Regent for Exam Administration, Connell Gallagher, at [log in to unmask].

 

 If you are recertifying by petition this year, don’t forget that your completed certification maintenance petition must be postmarked no later than June 1.
