On Thursday, May 11, Todd Gilliom, CA, will conduct a workshop designed as an introduction to archives for RIM professionals and as a refresher for practicing archivists.  Topics to be included are the meaning of a record group; comparisons among institutional archives, libraries and manuscripts repositories; the role of preservation in an archives program; principles of arrangement; the parts of an archives inventory; and DACs.  Certified Archivists attending both parts of Mr. Gilliom's Thursday workshop will receive two Archival Recertification Credits toward certification maintenance from the Academy of Certified Archivists
