The Tennessee State Library and Archive
has a wide variety of (mostly but not exclusively
Tennessee-related) UCV materials. I
think the present-day Sons of Confederate Veterans
may also have some records—unless I’m
completely mistaken, they are the legal
successors to the original veterans’
organization.
Good luck,
Ed Frank

Dear Colleagues:
I am working on a
bibliography of collections that contain information and records relating to an
organization of Civil War Confederate Veterans called the United Confederate
Veterans (UCV). It was a nationwide organization that published a magazine
called the Confederate Veteran and took part in UCV reunions across the South.
I am trying to find out what happened to the local, state, and national records
of this organization after the last of the veterans died. We have very little
for the organization here in
