I wrote an article in the April 2005 issue of Computer in Libraries where I discuss some of the differences between PTFS and CONTENTdm. PTFS has hot linked it off of their site at www.ptfs.com/cil_reprint.pdf. You can see the result of our using PTFS at soda.sou.edu. The PTFS AchivalWare product is highly sophisticated and, I think, far superior to searching full text documents. -----Original Message----- From: Archives & Archivists [mailto:[log in to unmask]]On Behalf Of Arel Lucas Sent: Wednesday, April 26, 2006 11:40 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: CONTENTdm Dear List, I've been looking at the archives, and I see it's been awhile since this subject has been discussed. We are looking at alternatives for content management systems, and right now the discussion is between CONTENTdm and PTFS. Please let me know about your experience with either of these products--or others you may recommend--as a complete management system from capturing images to Web display. Thank you for your help.
