MHS Job Announcement Title: Image Services Coordinator Position Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week Pay Rate: $12 per hour Hire Date: ASAP The Image Services Coordinator fulfils orders for reproductions of historic items, including photographs, paintings, maps, manuscripts, and museum objects. Responsibilities include customer service, billing, marketing, order fulfillment, tracking order details, and both financial and mission-related decision-making. Orders originate from phone call inquiries, library walk-ins, and from our website (www.vintagemaineimages.com). Some orders are filled in-house whereby the Coordinator scans or photographs items, edits them with Photoshop, and either prints or sends files electronically to the client. Some orders are filled out-of-house whereby the Coordinator contracts with and supervises photographers, or out-sources scans or print jobs to local vendors. At all times, the Coordinator ensures the safety of the Society’s historic collections. The Coordinator handles and tracks all licensing agreements and permission to publish requests. The Coordinator is also responsible for increasing awareness of MHS Image Services to target audiences through a marketing campaign and through our website, VintageMaineImages.com. Qualifications: ? Experience safely handling historic objects ? Customer service experience, including phone etiquette and customer relations ? Strong verbal and written communication skills ? Good organization abilities, including attention to detail ? Ability to work productively and cooperatively with co-workers ? Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, internet and email, Adobe PhotoShop, scanning and digital photography (we will train also) ? Familiarity with copyright law and fair use ?
