The Academy has a collection of old medicine bottles. However, over the
years several non-medical bottles have snuck in, and I've been trying to
get rid of them. I managed to sell some to our members through an
auction at our annual meeting. I've posted on a few bottle collectors'
forums, but have not received any indications of interest. Before I turn
to eBay, I have to ask: does anyone out there know an institution that
collects bottles?

There is nothing particularly valuable in the set. It includes:

* a souvenir bottle from Billy Graham's 1970 Crusade for Christ

* a Congress Mineral Water bottle, ca. 1885

* two Log Cabin syrup bottles with bicentennial designs, part of a
series of five produced in 1976

* a 1976 bicentennial bottle with images of the Liberty Bell and
Independence Hall embossed on it

* two bottles from the fiftieth anniversary of the Salem County
Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, 1969 (one embossed with the name of
Eugene R. Taylor)

* a bottle produced to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of
Maul Brothers, Inc. (1972)

* a Helene Curtis perfume bottle

* two bottles devoid of markings
