Greetings! I need some advice. I am serving as the first archivist at the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum and am likely facing the same problem MANY of you have experienced. We have a TON of stuff that was never properly numbered, documented, or stored and not a whole lot of storage space. In order to create space and a collection that more properly suits our mission, I would like to either give items to other (more appropriate) museums or find another solution for relieving such items of their duties at this museum. The problem is, with a lack of documentation (and therefore no direction as to the wishes of the donors regarding depositing items elsewhere) I am not sure of the proper/ethical route to take while still being practical. I would appreciate any assistance I can gain from my fellow comrades! Sincerely, Ashley McLendon Archivist Mississippi Armed Forces Museum Camp Shelby, Mississippi __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
