Hi, long-time listener, first-time caller;

I agree with Maarja, I was kind of shocked to see an off-list email brought 
on-list as part of an attack. There is a greater expectation of privacy that 
adhears to off-list communications, hence the off-list-ity. Once you "take 
it outside" /bartender voice, it's best left outside. The conventions that 
preserve personal privacy trump hurt feelings.
