I
am working on a paper to be presented at the 2006 International Association of
Sound Archives Conference entitled "Preservation and Peril, Access and
Availability: The Impact of US Copyright Law on Audio Archives." The paper
will explore the challenges faced by archivists, librarians, audio engineers, and
curators in preserving and providing access to audio material as related to
their experience with, understanding of, and concerns over copyright law.
If
you have any responsibility for audio materials in your collections, I would
appreciate your response to a brief 26 question survey exploring the impact of
US Copyright Law on audio archives. It should take 7-15 minutes to complete.
The
survey can be found at: http://www.surveyshare.com/survey/take/?sid=39664
Thank
you in advance for your responses.
