Can anyone recommend a good moisture meter for measuring the moisture
content of wet materials, i.e. books? At a less than exorbitant price? Or
are they all like that?

Or, any recommendations on determining whether books are completely dry?

On Monday, while the rest of Houston flooded, a pipe broke on the floor
above us, showering--make that gushing--down on the bound journals section
of the library and a corner of the archives stacks. We were lucky in that
it was clean water, and recovery went smoothly, but the touch method for
gauging dryness does not seem adequate.

Thank you!

Lesley
