The University of Wisconsin Digital Collections Center recently
digitized 1600 lantern slides from the Brittingham Family.

I'm sure the people in the UWDCC would be happy to answer any technical
questions you might have. You can send them a message through the
Technical Assistance link at the bottom, or if you want to contact me I
can give you actual names.
One note is that the slides are housed in the University Archives, and
our photo archivist agreed to clean the slides, which was a much longer,
involved process than we had originally thought it would be.
