I'm working with a consortium of folk arts organizations here in New York City.  Between them, they have a large collection of audio and video documentation of performances of ethnic music and dance, as well as oral history interviews on subjects relating to ethic and immigrant neighborhood traditions.  Many of the original audio recordings were made on cassette tape; all of the visual documentation is recorded on various formats of video (as opposed to film).

We have applied for a Save Americas Treasures grant to make preservation and access copies of this material, and to make digital copies that will be available at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.  But we are also looking for other funding in the event that the SAT grant is not funded, or to match the SAT funds if it is.

So...does anyone out there know of good sources for audio and video funding?  The national endowments and NHPRC are out as a match for SAT because they are federally funded.

Any leads are appreciated very much!

Thanks.
