Hello all!

We have a researcher who is doing an industry history on the toothpick
trade. We had some price lists for some turned boxes (though not for
toothpicks) from a particular company he was looking at - Estes, and he has
written back with some further questions. As we mostly deal in
pharmaceutical history, I told my researcher that I would post here and see
what resources might come to light.

I am pasting his question here:
"I am specifically interested in knowing the date range over which E. B.
Estes & Sons offered imported orange-wood (Portuguese) toothpicks in a
turned wooden box. I would also be interested in any other archival
materials relating to toothpicks of any kind."

You can respond OFF-LIST to either me or my researcher ([log in to unmask])
as I doubt a general interest exists for the history of the toothpick
industry on the list.

Many thanks in advance for any and all responses.

Best,
