Back in March of this year, I sent out an email on this Listserv requesting feedback from archivists concerning electronic records in non-institutional manuscript repositories.  Unfortunately, I only recieved 4 responses and only 2 people returned the short survey.  So, I am asking once again for assistance on the subject.  I have included the original message that details exactly what my thesis is attmepting to explore as well as attached the survey and consent form (so I can use the information in my thesis).  I would appreciate any kind of feedback.

So here goes: I am a graduate student currently working on my master's degree in Archives and Records Management at Western Washington University with Rand Jimerson.  For my thesis, I am researching how archives are managing electronic records within personal paper collections and non-institutional archives.  Since there is very little literature on the topic, to analyze current practices, I am looking for archivists who are currently dealing with electronic records in such repositories who would be willing to discuss their programs with me either by email or by telephone.  Questions would include background on collecting practices and information on the electronic program itself including any problems that may have arisen with such a project.  I am also interested in hearing from archivists who may have looked into creating an electronic records program for personal papers or non-institutional records, but for some reason or another had to let the project go.  Please contact me by email at [log in to unmask] if you are interested in discussing the topic of electronic records in personal paper collections in more detail.  I would be most thankful for any feedback!

Thank You,
Michal Walden
