So here goes: I am a graduate
student currently working on my master's degree in Archives and Records
Management at Western
Washington University
with Rand Jimerson. For my thesis, I am
researching how archives are managing electronic records within personal paper
collections and non-institutional archives.
Since there is very little literature on the topic, to analyze current
practices, I am looking for archivists who are currently dealing with
electronic records in such repositories who would be willing to discuss their
programs with me either by email or by telephone. Questions would include background on
collecting practices and information on the electronic program itself including
any problems that may have arisen with such a project. I am also interested in hearing from archivists
who may have looked into creating an electronic records program for personal
papers or non-institutional records, but for some reason or another had to let
the project go. Please contact me by

if you are interested in discussing the topic of electronic records in personal
paper collections in more detail. I
would be most thankful for any feedback!
