My institution has a collection of text-searchable PDFs and would like to try out some of the open source software now available for storage and retrieval of those PDFs (XPat Lite, DSpace?) Could anyone on the list with a test-searchable digital collection please share your experience with database/search engine systems that store and retrieve relevant results from keyword searches? We are particularly interested in getting a prototype going in order to begin to work through some of the major search and retrieval issues, as well as to help us market our vision for the collection's future use. Many thanks, and feel free to respond off-list, Kim Braun Digital Library Project Archivist __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
