ANNOUNCING: THE ARRIVAL OF THE ARCHIVIST COOKBOOK!!! The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s SAA Student Chapter is pleased to announce the publication of their cookbook compilation, THE ARCHIVIST COOKBOOK. The cookbook includes many recipes featured at student chapter bake sales and potlucks from the past few years, as well as personal favorites and historical goodies. The recipes are arranged in four categories: beverages, salads & sides, main dishes, and desserts, and were donated by SAA chapter members, as well as by other students and faculty from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Library & Information Studies. Recipes include notes on provenance as well as comments from creators as to their significance, and are interspersed with fun vintage graphics and quotes on archives and history. The Cookbook is a send-up of the infamous Anarchist Cookbook, although the most dangerous ingredient you will find in any of the recipes is probably Vegemite! The cookbook is spiral bound for ease of flipping in the kitchen, has a color cover, and is full sized (8.5. x 11 inches). The cookbook is available for purchase exclusively from our Café Press storefront for only $10. Team up with friends and colleagues to save on shipping! Café Press is offering a $5 flat fee for up to five items currently, but this may change in the future. For those who would like to see the book before they buy, please find the UW-Madison’s Student Chapter poster at SAA in Washington, D.C. next week, as a sample copy will be on display. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will be used to support the student chapter’s professional development fund, which enables members to attend professional conferences. Our storefront is located at: http://www.cafepress.com/uwsaachapter THE ARCHIVIST COOKBOOK makes a great gift for that special archivist in your life, and librarians love it too! Why not buy some for your family and friends for Christmas, or for anyone else who’s asked you “Hey, what exactly IS an archivist, anyways?” We hope that you’ll agree that THE ARCHIVIST COOKBOOK is the most dangerously cool cookbook you could ever hope to own. The student chapter thanks you for your support!! Stacey Erdman & John Loud, Cookbook Committee __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
