At the annual meeting of Northwest Archivists held in Butte Montana, the following awards were given:

 

The organization's first Merle Wells / John Guido Distinguished Service Award was given to Karyl Winn who is a recent retiree from the University of Washington. Karyl was a founding member of NWA and an active participant in this organization as well as other local and national organizations throughout her career.

 

Retirement recognition was given to Terry Abraham who recently retired from the University of Idaho. Terry was also a founding member of NWA and has been active on the local and national level throughout his career.

 

A professional development award was given to Wendi Lyons who is currently employed at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

 

The At-Large Student Award was given to Melinda Snarr of the University of Washington's i School.

 

The Western Washington University Awards were given to Emiley Jensen and Rozlind Koester.
