The H-INFO subscription information asks for institutional affiliation.
I contacted the moderator just now to ask if it was okay to subscribe
as an unaffiliated or independent subscriber. I explained how many
people use AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc. to subscribe to Archives &
Archivists Listserv, to avoid associating their views with their
employing institution. I referred to electronic footprints and some of
the articles about that in the Chronicle of Higher Education. She said
it is perfectly fine to subscribe w/o institutional affiliation. So,
I'm in!
