The Syracuse University Special Collections Research Center is using
CONTENTdm for photographs. We in the Archives have used it only for
playbills so far (with a few scattered photos done as tests).

Hello,

We have a very large historical photograph collection. To save wear
and tear on the physical prints and negatives, we want to digitize a
portion of these images and create an internal database. Our Corporate
Archives staff is looking at CONTENTdm as the software package to manage
such a collection. Our IT department has asked us to look at Stellent.

I know that CONTENTdm is being used by many public and
university/college libraries for this purpose. I do not have any frame
of reference for Stellent.

Is there anyone in the archive community that is using either one of
these software packages for photograph databases? I would appreciate
feedback on both pros and cons!

Kind Regards,
Nicole
